1828 - Catholic Association

Daniel O'Connell's Catholic Association organized a massive meeting in County Clare. The gathering demonstrated the movement's ability to mobilize peaceful political protest. O'Connell's methods established new patterns for democratic agitation.

1907 - Dock Strike
